Now that I’m thinking about it, there are so many reasons other than just ballroom - which is admittedly the largest reason right now - to get fitter.
I just realized there are about 200 days before my younger brother comes back from overseas (beginning of November). We were really close growing up. I was always borderline too thin growing up and he helped me through the teasing in high school. He also helped me be okay with my body when I gained a lot of weight because of a hormone problem.
I want to surprise him by being back down to a happy, healthy weight when he gets home. I think I can lose around 20 lbs in the next 200 days. NO EXCUSES! Even though I’m in the middle of finals right now I’m going to try to at least get in a half hour of exercise per day and get more fruits and veggies.
